Check Eligibility

To determine your eligibility for the NDIS, the initial step is to review the checklist provided below:

  • Be under the age of 65 at the time of application
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • Must have a permanent disability that affects your ability to participate in everyday activities
Apply for NDIS
If you are eligible, the next step is to apply for the NDIS. You can do this by filling out an Access Request Form, which is available on the NDIS website. You must provide details about your disability or condition and any supporting documentation.
Assessment
Once you've submitted your application, the NDIS will handle the assessment scheduling process. This assessment may involve meeting with an NDIS representative, completing questionnaires, and providing additional documentation.
Planning Meeting
After the assessment, you will be invited to attend a planning meeting. This meeting is an opportunity for you to discuss your goals.
Plan Approval
Once your plan is developed, it will be submitted to the NDIS for approval. If your plan is approved, you will be notified in writing and can begin accessing the support and services outlined in your plan.
